Lumie102. •. From the winter safety perspective I prefer the siping on the BFG Trail terrain. The Nokian outpost AT seems sparse on siping which can lead to poor ice traction. I prefer to run a set of dedicated studded winter tires on their own rims. At -40 even dedicated winter tires get slippery, and all weather have a harder rubber to.. I agree with you about how the Outpost AT is similarly chunky looking to tires like the Open Country III, Wildpeak A/T3W, and KO2. The Outpost APT is visually more like the Wildpeak Trail and Trail-Terrain. They're all great looking tires, so it just comes down to whether I want something more civilized or more… barbaric.
